A father and son business
We’re Derek and Mark Stevens, a father and son team with over 60 years’ experience between us. We install and repair TV aerials and satellite systems across Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, and over the years we’ve fitted hundreds of aerials and dishes in Cheltenham alone. As well as private homes, we carry out general maintenance and repairs for the local council, care homes and hotels around the county.
We do every job ourselves. We’re not part of a national network, we don’t buy in leads, and we don’t pass work to subcontractors. We’ll explain what’s wrong in plain English, show you how the finished job will look, and agree a price with you before we start.
How we started
Derek has been in the TV sales and repair trade since the early 1980s. Mark started working with him in 2008, not long after leaving school, then branched out into aerials, satellite and other TV work under his own business, Sparky-UK. We’ve worked together ever since.

From Televid, 1988–2022
Many people in Cheltenham will remember Televid, the TV and electrical repair shop at Maida Vale Business Centre on Mead Road. Derek was a partner in the business. For 34 years, local families brought their TVs, video recorders and hi-fis to the shop, and Sparky-UK ran alongside it for aerial and satellite work.
Televid closed its workshop in September 2022, as TVs became cheaper to replace than to repair. Sparky-UK carries on, with the same family and the same way of working. If you were a Televid customer, we’d be glad to hear from you.
